When using tallow-based natural skincare products, there are a few cautions to keep in mind to ensure safe and effective use. 

Firstly, it is important to be aware of any possible allergies or sensitivities to the ingredients contained in the products. Please read the ingredients list carefully, and conduct a patch test by applying a small amount of the product to a small area of skin before using it on a larger area. If any irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice if necessary.

It is also important to use the products gently and sparingly, as they contain natural and plant-based ingredients that can be sensitive to overuse. Start with a small amount, and slowly add more as required. 

When storing tallow-based skincare products, keep them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to extend their shelf life. Avoid exposing them to extreme temperatures or moisture, which can reduce their effectiveness and quality. 

Finally, while natural skincare products can be a great option for those with sensitive skin, they do not replace medical advice or treatment for serious skin conditions. If you have any concerns or health issues related to your skin, it is always advisable to seek professional medical advice.

🧼 Use clean, dry hands
Take the balm from the jar with clean, dry fingers or a small cosmetic spatula. Keeping water and moisture out of the jar helps protect the freshness of the product.

🤏 Begin with a small amount
Start with a pea-sized amount or less. Warm it gently between your fingertips or palms until it softens, then add more only if needed.

🧴 Apply to the skin
Massage the balm gently into clean skin using circular movements. Applying it to slightly damp skin after washing or showering can help it spread more easily and seal in moisture.

⏳ Allow it to absorb
Give the balm a few minutes to absorb before dressing or applying other products. Using too much may leave the skin feeling greasy.

🧪 Perform a patch test
Before using a new balm over a larger area, apply a small amount to a discreet patch of skin and wait at least 24 hours to check for sensitivity.

⚠️ Avoid sensitive areas
Keep the balm away from the eyes, inside the nose and other sensitive areas unless the individual product has been specifically formulated for use there. Do not apply to broken, irritated or sunburnt skin.

☀️ Be aware of sun sensitivity
Some essential oils—particularly certain citrus oils—can make the skin more sensitive to sunlight and UV rays. Check the product label and avoid direct sunlight, tanning beds and other UV exposure on the treated area for the recommended period.

🌿 If irritation occurs
Apply a suitable plain carrier oil to dilute the essential oils, then remove the balm gently. Discontinue use if irritation continues.

👁️ In case of eye contact
Rinse immediately with plenty of clean, lukewarm water for several minutes. Do not put carrier oil into the eyes. Remove contact lenses if easy to do, and seek medical advice if irritation continues.

🔸 Small grains or dots may naturally appear
Occasionally, small grains or dots may form in the balm because natural fats can crystallise when exposed to changes in temperature. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality or effectiveness of the product. The grains will soften and melt with the warmth of your skin.

🌡️ Storage and natural texture changes
Keep the jar tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Natural balms may soften in warm weather or become firmer in cooler temperatures without affecting their quality. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
